The Healing Cave Logo displays a cave opening with rainbow fire glowing in the center of the pitch-dark cave. The outside of the cave is a stone grey, framed by an arc of sunrise colors. Words read The Healing Cave in a subtle cursive font.

A place to embrace the light and dark parts of our healing journeys.

These are the flames that light our path - our purpose, our dreams, our sacred principles.

These are our grassroot priorities for growing into our goals.

Every meaningful journey starts with small, intentional steps. These grassroots priorities reflect the work we’re doing today to strengthen our foundation, deepen our impact, and grow toward the goals that guide our mission.

Raise Funds + Resources

We are wanting to raise funds and resources to secure a "Cave on Wheels" and to retain, value, and train staff.

Welcome New Board Members

We need board members and directors that understand our highlighted communities, have fundraising/grant writing experience, and/or know the ins-and-outs of policies and practices of boards, etc.

Partner with Other Nonprofits

We are hoping to partner with at least one Indianapolis non-profit that is serving our highlighted communities.

Learn Our Audience

Take serious action to collect perspectives and learn the needs of our highlighted audience, rather than just assuming we know what the barriers are and how they feel.

These are our highlighted Communities.

Our efforts are focused on helping remove barriers to care for people who experience life through the lens of one or more of the following identities. While our services are open to everyone, we are especially committed to supporting communities that have historically faced greater challenges in accessing equitable, inclusive, and affirming care.

  • Bigger bodies
  • English language learners
  • Deaf, blind, mute
  • Reliant on equipment or animals for mobility and/or safety
  • Neurodivergent
  • Veterans
  • Trans, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Pansexual, Queer, Asexual, Demisexual, Intersex, Two-Spirit, etc.
  • Black, Indigenous, and other skin tones & heritage & culture that do not present as "white" (or do but aren't)
  • Formerly Incarcerated

Intuitive Practices + Healing Modalities

"You cannot be passive in your healing. You must be an active participant." -John F Barnes

Each of our services and classes is designed as an experience that meets you exactly where you are. You'll be guided to listen to your body's signals and discover what it's communicating. Along the way, you'll be reminded that this is your body - and within you lies an innate wisdom about what it needs and you have the capacity to heal and to maintain a peaceful inner life.

Stewards of the Cave

Our board members and advisors provide essential guidance and oversight for The Healing Cave. They help shape our vision, support our goals, and ensure we stay aligned with our mission and values, keeping our highlighted communities as the focus of our efforts. As we work to bring free, accessible, holistic healing services to underserved communities, our board members will accept all the help (that is aligned with our goals) that they can get!

Please let us know if you would like to join the Board!
